Thématiques de recherche
Biodiversity - Ecosystem functioning relationships: I try to understand relationships between food-web structures (from decomposers to top predators) and the functioning of diverse ecosystems, mainly lacustrine and headwater stream ecosystems.
Ecological Stoichiometry: This approach is based on the principle that the transfer of all chemical elements between organisms during ecological interactions is subject to mass-balance constraints. These constraints are able to control several processes, such as primary and secondary production, nutrient transfer between trophic levels, or organic matter decomposition. For example, these concepts help to understand and sometimes predict the outcome of many biotic interactions, or the effects of living organisms on nutrient availability.
Ecotoxicology: In order to better understand the ecological effects of contaminants in nature, I start experimental studies on the importance of several environmental constraints on the response of organisms and communities to contaminants.
